Dr. Linda

Dr. Linda grew up in Cooperstown, NY and knew early on in her life that she had a desire to work with animals. She received her undergraduate degree from Alfred University in biology with a minor in chemistry. Dr. Linda then attended Cornell University where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), specializing in mixed small and large animal medicine with a focus on production animal medicine.

Dr. Linda enjoyed growing up with dogs and cats, but did not work with large animals until she attended college at Alfred University. There she began working with dairy cattle and equestrian horses. She also had the opportunity to spend time with dairy calves, which piqued her lifelong interest in working with cows. While attending veterinary school Dr. Linda worked at the Cornell Teaching Dairy, milking cows several nights a week. During her time in school and on clinical rotations she was fortunate to work with a wide variety of different species including dogs, cats, horses, cattle, sheep, goats and pigs. She is particularly interested in reproduction, calf and foal management, and small animal general practice and surgery.

Outside of work Dr. Linda loves spending time with her friends, family and her dog Penny. She enjoys reading, hiking, kayaking, bonfires, spending time on Otsego Lake, and attending concerts. She is excited to return to the area where she grew up to begin working and serving her community. She loves all aspects of veterinary medicine for both large and small animal care, and is looking forward to continuing to serve a broad population of animals and their human families as a doctor with the Leatherstocking Veterinary Group.
